Tweens: Ages 10-13

Practice Yoga on & off the mat

This class is for those who are too “old” for kids classes and too “young” for adult classes! At this age in development, kids will delve deeper into yoga philosophy, specifically focusing on Patanjali’s 8-limbs of yoga; learning the yogi morals and codes of ethics.

Basically, we will learn how to be an awesome person to ourselves and others via the yogi lifestyle!

Class will focus on yoga pose instruction via songs and we will start sequencing poses together in order to learn flows and connect movement with breath. We will be introduced to a variety of breathing exercises and learn some of the “whys” of these in a tween-friendly way. We will also learn how to love and accept our bodies and selves while finding ways that we can practice our yoga when we leave class.

*Ages are flexible and classes are adaptable to meet the developmental level and age of each student
